It's been so long my cherry grew back

Across the country, "revirginization" appears to be gaining steam. After years in relationships and having children, women are trying to recapture their virginity. They are engaging in prayer and considering themselves virgins again. What the?? And besides the spiritual efforts, some are having surgical replacement of the hymen, which is a $5000 procedure. A surgeon in FL stated that she performs about 100 of these every year. A single mother of two from Ohio said her future husband deserves a 'whole' person.

I'm not really sure what to say about this. Obviously I'm not a virgin, but I still feel 'whole'. I've broken a few Catholic rules in my days, but I like who I am and my sex life (or lack there of) doesn't define me. (OK, maybe if I dove into prostitution it would... but I didn't choose that path.) Does virginity make you pure and a better person? Look at Britney Spears and her virginity claims all those years. What a joke... look at where that got her.

And why is virginity so special if you can just go reclaim it again?

(A caveat to all this: I'm talking in terms of adulthood. Virginity to my children and all those under the age of 18 is VERY important.)
